strange things with web links
We apologise for the fact that for some time our links for news items syndicated from the ASA news pages haven't been working and images have not been loading. We are confused as we can only think that British Swimming has changed its URL from .org to .co - and that can't be correct, can it? We think we have fixed most of the links but we may be wrong.

surprise, surprise - it gets permission!
The Olympic Park, crucial to London's 2012 bid, has been given the go-ahead.

Four east London boroughs gave planning permission for the 500-acre park, in the Lower Lea Valley, on Thursday.

Tower Hamlets, Newham, Hackney and Waltham Forest planning committees backed the plan at a meeting at City Hall on London's South Bank.

The park would include the Olympic Stadium - where the opening and closing ceremonies would take place - as well as the Olympic Village. [Clissold Leisure Users' News]
