Since the start of 2004, we have been tracking club records. These are awarded to the fastest swimmer in each age group in each stroke over 25m, 50m and 100m. We award certificates every 6 months to all swimmers who have set a new club record in the previous 6 months. We have recently been awarding certificates to those who have set new club records between 01 December 2006 and 23 June 2007.

However, we have also recently decided to start tracking club records over 200m distances too. At the awards evening the cub also awarded club record certificates to the current 200m club record holders in each stroke in each age group, going back as far as April 2006 to calculate who the current record holder is.

Club records are awarded in 5 age groups, with ages calculated as on 31st December in the year of the swim.

Most of the current club record holders have already set club records in the past, but we have 6 swimmers this evening who have set a club record for the first time – Eve, Aaron, Inez, Isabel, Daniel & Bibsi.

All swimmers who set a club record are awarded a special blue club record holders swimming hat on the first occasion they set a club record, so we have a blue hat for each of these swimmers.
