John Watson Trophy gala and Speedo league galas
Abigail, Sarah and Gabriel continue to compete regularly for Anaconda SC. On Saturday 28 October, they all swam in the John Watson Trophy gala, which was won by Anaconda. Abigail won the Open girls 100m breaststroke, while Sarah won the U12 girls 100m breaststroke. Gabriel came 3rd in both the U14 boys 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke.
They also all swam in the second round of the Speedo League on Saturday eleventh November, in which Anaconda came in seventh place. The Speedo league is a very fast league with some great and extremely challenging swimming taking place and our swimmers actually in lanes alongside national and international swimmers. Sarah came second in the 50m breaststroke and sixth in the 50m freestyle, setting new PBs and new U12 girls club records in both these events. Gabriel came 06 in the 100m freestyle, also setting a new PB (which he has since bested again) and a new U14 boys club record. He also came in seventh in 100m backstroke, while Abigail was sixth in open 100m breaststroke.
